i reached an impasse where i couldn’t empty my bladder. it had been a problem for years, but finally broke down & sought professional help. the surgery was a nightmare. under local Anesthesia where they shot a needle, or whatever, into my spinal cord & paralized my lower body while they cut away at my swollen prostate. what’s not to like? PLENTY!
before that, i had to face my problem with diabetes & they insisted they start me on insulin to control my high blood pressure. according to them, the surgery was too risky & my ability to heal was compromised by high blood sugar. i was a captive with no options. i’ve tried to control my diet (obviously, not very well) for at least 3 years when i was first diagnosed with diabetes.
anyway, i’m out now & back to teaching. yesterday, they took out the catheter tube that was emptying my bladder automatically. another joy & delight. the first time a man had ever handled my Johnson. i don’t recommend it. actually, the situation was so dire, apart from my humiliation, i couldn’t care less. i wanted to get well.
the next worse thing in the torture camp was, after the surgery, having to stay in bed without getting up for 3 days. my wife took great care of me. God bless her. i’m still recuperating.
